A remarkable spirit of unity, compassion, and generosity was witnessed as Kenyans from across the country came together during a successful national harambee led by Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Dr. Paul K. Ronoh, CBS, who served as the Chief Guest.
The fundraiser, held in support of the family of former Kericho Governor H.E. Paul Chepkwony, attracted overwhelming support from leaders, friends, well-wishers, and ordinary Kenyans both locally and online.
H.E. Dr. William Ruto, PhD, President of the Republic of Kenya, made a generous contribution of KSh 2 million in support of the initiative, while PS Paul K. Ronoh personally contributed KSh 500,000 towards the cause. Among the notable contributions received were KSh 3.9 million from online contributions, demonstrating the immense goodwill and solidarity shown by Kenyans across the country and abroad.
The event stood out as a true reflection of the Kenyan spirit of Harambee, in which people unite to uplift one another in moments of need. Attendees praised PS Ronoh for his outstanding leadership, humility, and dedication in bringing people together for a noble cause.
Speaking during the event, leaders and guests described the PS as a compassionate and people-centered leader whose commitment to service continues to inspire many across the country.
The fundraiser continued receiving support even after the main event, and by the time of going to the press, total contributions had surpassed KSh 15 million, a powerful testament to the love, unity, and generosity demonstrated by Kenyans from all walks of life.
The successful harambee will be remembered not only for the millions raised, but also for the strong message it sent about unity, leadership, and the enduring culture of standing together as one people.
